Coffee with a Cop
Greene County Public Health officials and Greene County Safe Communities Coalition members are inviting the community to come out on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 am to enjoy Coffee with a Cop at the Coffee Hub located at 81 E. Main Street in downtown Xenia.
Coffee with a Cop brings police officers, and the community members they serve, together over coffee to discuss issues and learn more about each other. The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.
“Meeting together in person at a neutral location, like the Coffee Hub, provides an opportunity for our law enforcement officers to engage with citizens of our community in real conversations about issues that matter, ask and answer questions, and share ideas for the betterment of the community”, said Loressa Gonyer, Health Educator, and Safe Communities Coalition Coordinator.
Typically held on the first Wednesday of October, and now in its eighth year, National Coffee with a Cop Day has seen great success. It aims to create spaces without communication barriers, speeches, or agendas, just honest conversations about issues affecting communities, sports, and great places to eat. There are lots of things to talk about over coffee these days! Let’s show the world what a thriving community looks like through the collaboration of our citizens and law enforcement officers.
